Job Listing: Oracle DBA

Position Purpose/Objective:

To provide product database support in development and production environments for our clients applications. Construct software products using current software engineering techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for Oracle databases.
Train, and mentor junior team members.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex business problems.
Design, configure and test software products within budget and schedule constraints.
Accurately estimate work requirements.
Plan assigned activities in detail.
Report status promptly and forthrightly.
Communicate effectively in team oriented environment.
Follow good software development practices and procedures.

Experience/Skills:
4+ years Unix/Linux systems experience required.
4+ years Oracle RDBMS production database administration experience required.
2+ years database SQL script writing experience required.
2+ year developing Brio Reports highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills required.
Strong problem resolution skills required.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment required. Rational Development Suite (Clear Case and Clear Quest) admin experience desired. Experience with Microsoft Office tools required.
