Job Listing: Sr. Electrical Engineer

Aerotek is currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer who can provide and support prototypes for Solar Programs and SBIRs.

System architecture design
Adapting outsourced-developed engine controllers and inverters for new prototype systems
Development of ancillary circuitry to complete a system (fuel delivery, cooling)
PCB assembly and troubleshooting
Augmenting/Troubleshooting C and Assembly programming of embedded microprocessors.
Troubleshooting legacy systems


Supporting Volume Production

Facilitating implementation of DFMA changes to outsourced designs.
Providing technical oversight to design changes and part changes due to obsolescence.
Supporting automated test apparatus used by the ECM or final assembly and test.


Supporting In-house Testing Efforts

· Instrumentation technical support (software, sensors and electrical noise management)

· Administering 3rd party certification (UL, CE, etc) witnessed testing.


Supporting Reliability Growth of Product Lines

Troubleshooting field failures and providing oversight to ECM corrective action processes.
Compiling and tracking fielded system run hours and performance


Supporting Outsourced Development of Electronics for New Products

Reviewing third party designs.
Creating specifications and technical guidance documents.
Conducting tests to confirm design approaches.
Providing project and vendor management.


Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Required:

· General skills in Analog and digital hardware design and troubleshooting experience.

· Electrical assembly skills required, either through formal training or experience.

· Project management experience.

· Technical Writing experience for manuals and reports.

· BSEE with 15+ years experience preferred or comparable hands-on experience.

· Must have initiative. Will work independently. Must possess a strong desire to learn.

· Must be familiar with the design process and specifications leading to construction documents.

· Ability to perform designs using CAD software.



Desired:

· Experience in Analog and digital hardware design and troubleshooting experience.

· General embedded programming experience preferred in C and Assembly language.

· LabView experience a plus, for data acquisition and automated test equipment.

· Demonstrated project management experience.

· Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret customer or internal specification documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

· Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Education/Experience

Required:

· Authorization to work in U.S.A.

· BSEE with 10+ years experience preferred or comparable hands-on experience.

Desired:

· BSEE with 15+ years experience preferred or comparable hands-on experience.
