Job Listing: Mechanical Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will offer the opportunity to work on cross functional project teams and be involved in the design, and fabrication of the mechanical equipment. Your responsibilities will develop into the following:
- Work as the Lead Project Designer
- Provide direction and oversight to other designers
- Coordinate work with 3rd party designers.
- Develop equipment concepts and prototype designs
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficient in Pro-E/or Microstation
- Willingness learn through self study
- Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Machine design skills —
- Experience and formal training (Associate Degree in related field)
- Willingness to learn, be part of a team and develop your knowledge to become proficient in the area of machine design.
- Knowledge of tolerances and how to achieve defined tolerances
- Ability to evaluate construct ability
- Knowledge of milling, turning, boring, multi-axis machining centers, CNC, and CMM
- Knowledge of welding practices, associated distortion, stress relieving, and weldment fabrication
- Knowledge of plating and coating of materials
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication and tube bending
- Knowledge of balancing of rotating equipment
- Basic knowledge of materials and strength of materials
- Ability to conduct Internet research when required.
- Willingness to travel 10%
