Job Listing: Plant Engineer

Our client in Manassas, VA is actively seeking an experienced Plant Engineer for immediate employment. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position with an annual salary of $60,000-85,000/year.

Job Description:

-Operate/start-up facility process equipment.

-Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of plant operations.

-Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects.

-Assist with maintaining facility daily operations.

-Maintain positive customer relations to ensure continued satisfaction. Work closely with the customer on all gas supply issues, attend meetings and participate in improvement teams.

-Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

-Manage the computerized maintenance management system.

-Coordinate plant shutdowns, including coordination of plant personnel tasks, hiring contractors, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are obtained.

-Perform job functions to always ensure on time, in spec, delivery of gases to the customer.

-Perform job functions in a manner that meets or exceeds the company’s HS&E standards.



Job Requirements:

-3-8 years manufacturing experience

-Strong technical expertise

-Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks

-Able to work in a team environment

-Cooperative and able to obtain the cooperation of others

-Good communication skills

-Strong emphasis on safety and safety leadership

-Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
