Job Listing: BA with datawarehouse

TEKsystems is currently seeking a Business Analyst with datawarehouse background for a contract(possible hire) position with a client in Wilmington, DE.

THIS CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO CONVERT TO PERM. NO VENDORS PLEASE.

Performs and coordinates the analysis and design of business systems. Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs of the assigned customer group from the business and technical perspective. Works closely with clients and with other system groups to capture business requirements and see them through implementation. Develops and executes systems testing. Acts as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups.

Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis experience required
Minimum 4 years of Data Warehousing experience required.
Minimum 4 years of experience in working on ETL applications/Data Marts & Data Warehouse required
Minimum 4 years experience required working on MS Office products - MS Word, MS Excel & MS Visio
Credit Card Industry experience preferred
Experience migrating large RDBMS Data Warehouse Solutions (e.g. IBM, Teradata, Oracle) for Customer Relationship Management modules a Plus
Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (BO, MicroStrategy, Cognos) a Plus

- Working with different Business groups/users to understand the Business Requirements for the project.
- Working closely with the business users to understand the current state and target state business processes
- Working with different IT & Business groups to understand and determine the Impacts to the Data Warehouse and/or Data Marts for different projects
- Creating the Functional Requirement Specification/FRS for the Data Warehouse and/or Data Mart for the project
- Providing input to the Data Architect to help create/update Logical/Physical Data Models for the Data Warehouse and/or Data Marts
- Working closely with the Development team to validate that the Technical design meets the business requirements
- Reviewing Test Plans/Scripts to ensure adequate coverage for the proposed design
