Job Listing: Environmental Scientist/Engineer

Staff Environmental Engineer/Scientist – Must have a BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or applicable field. Must have at least 5 years experience in environmental consulting with the preference being in UST/AST management and hydrocarbon remediation. Experience working on a military installation is preferred.

Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this position is the management of existing UST (underground storage tank) and AST (aboveground storage tank) systems, assistance with regulatory requirements, and technical evaluation – inventory, hardware upgrades, spill systems, installation, and monitoring. Periodically ASTs are installed and the individual will assist to ensure the installed system meets federal, and state requirements. Remediation support will involve the review of progress of remediation contractors on groundwater remediation projects.

Responsibilities will include site visits and inspections, field studies, collection of data, document review and comment, document management, database development and tracking, preparation of briefing materials, and organization and attendance of meetings.
