Job Listing: CNC Programmer/Operator

A large national defense manufacturer has immediate needs for Horizontal and Vertical Mill CNC Programmers/Operators. Candidates must be able to program/operate CNC milling machines. Experience with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances along with reading and interpreting blueprints are required. The position pays $21-24 an hour with a 24% shift premium for working the 7pm-7am compressed shift. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE US CITIZENS and be able to pass drug and background!!

Required Skills

1) Prepare and maintain 4 to 5-axis mill programs for CNC machine tools
2) Select the chucking device, cutting tools, tool arrangement, and cutting speeds and feeds for parts applicable to CNC machining
3) Prepare shop process manuals and supervise the process validation portion of new program prove out
4) Communicate effectively with the manufacturing engineers, development engineering, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company
5) Identify and report any cost improvements
6) Complete special projects as assigned
7) Assist in the training of operators on new CNC equipment and programs
8) Maintain constant flow of work through the shop by minimizing down time due to CNC programs
