The world's leading Aerospace company has a 3-month contract position available for a Supply Chain Specialist.
JOB DUTIES:
The person chosen to fill this Material Expediter position will be part of a Contractor Maintenance team fielding new CH-47F model aircraft into the US Army inventory at Ft. Bragg, NC and various other locations.
The Expediter will analyze:
Data pertaining to parts, supplies, or logistics involved in packaging shipping and handling of Engineering Investigation, Quality Deficiency Reporting, or Hazardous Material Reporting, and repair/warranty issues.
As well as interpret and prepare information for data deliverables in accordance with contract requirements.
Technical information in order to assess the impact on program requirements.

This is a 3-month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Atlanta, GA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.
Required Skills
Required Skills for this Supply Chain Specialist position include the following:
3-5 years of related Expediter experience preferred
Must have prior experience and training in Supply Chain Management
Our Client/military Supply Chain courses completed with documentation a plus
Must have the ability to provide Contractor Support Planning and Customer Interface, and assist in resolving repair/warranty issues
Ability to identify and coordinate replenishment of spare parts necessary to keep the military customer products in operation
Knowledge of the following desired:
Publication uses
Shipping/receiving procedures
Warranties
DOD Inventory Management regulations
Integrated Logistics Support processes
Supply Support processes
Knowledge of Military Logistics Support Systems, as well as Company Supply System databases (such as GOLD) a plus
