Job Listing: SQL Database Administrator

Our client here in State College, Pennsylvania is seeking out a qualified SQL DBA to join their team. They have about 15-20 SQL Databases with a size range of 15-35 gigabytes.re. This position is going to be a contract to hire.

To qualify for this role, candidates MUST have experience with SQL SERVER 2000 OR 2005 AND T-SQL CODING. PLUSES - C#.NET OR VB.NET EXPERIENCE. Best candidates will have a minimum of 2 years working experience with SQL DBA.

This person will be the sole DBA. There are other people within the organization who will backup this individual. The ideal candidate will install, configure and maintain the SQL Server 2000/2005 environment. This person will also be responsible for documenting configurations, setting up security policies, troubleshooting and providing backups and restores. They have about 15-20 SQL Databases with a size range of 15-35 gigabytes.


The interview process will be a 30 minute phone screen and a personal interview for 2-3 hours that will be divide into 2 sessions conducted onsite here in State College, Pennsylvania. All qualified individuals will be comfortable working for TEKsystems on a W2 basis for 6 months contract to hire. Compensation will be negotiated based on experience.
