Job Listing: Jr. Project Manager / Desktop Support

TEKsystems has partnered with a large telecommunications company to identify a Junior Project Manager. This is a 6 month plus contract, in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Communications Project Manager
¿ Develops and implements small, medium and large broad-based communications programs for our client's Lines of Business
¿ Manages the business of accounts/projects for our client with the customer/customer entity
¿ Uses client's business, technical and creative processes and tools to effectively manage, communicate and document the business of developing creative business solutions for clients
- Database
- Our client's Documents and Forms (Estimates, Billing Code Forms, etc.)
- Email and Lotus Notes as communication and documentation vehicles
¿ Assembles project teams (upon receiving resource assignments), assigns individual responsibilities, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of each project.
¿ Manages virtual teams consisting of artists, graphic designers, writers, print production managers, video and multimedia developers and external vendors on a project-by-project basis.
¿ Advises the client and communicates all aspects of implementation including articulation of scope, work-flow management, schedules and budgets
¿ Effectively captures requirements, identifies problems and issues, and articulates effective, efficient, and insightful solutions
¿ Articulates project scope, objectives, roles and functions of team members and effectively coordinates team efforts in completing projects on time, within budget
¿ Expands existing accounts and develops new business
¿ Focuses on providing excellent customer service
¿ Partners effectively with clients
¿ Executes work effectively, efficiently, cost-effectively and successfully


Qualifications:

¿ Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Business Administration
¿ Internet, print and/or multimedia product development and marketing experience
¿ Working knowledge of design, programming and print production processes, priorities and dependencies
¿ Working knowledge of telecommunications or related industry and high-tech issues
¿ Experience working in both agency and corporate public relations environments
¿ Experience in managing and implementing small, medium and large nationally-focused, broad-based marketing communications campaigns
¿ Experience in managing the business of marketing and marketing communications, leveraging technology to maximize efficacy and efficiency
¿ Effective business writing in client, team, organizational, corporate and marketing communications
¿ Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and working knowledge of desktop publishing
¿ Strong project management and organizational skills
¿ Excellent written and oral communication skills
