A local Las Vegas OEM is seeking a mechanical engineer proficient in SolidWorks to help support their product design department.
We are currently looking for a qualified candidate possessing at minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree as a Mechanical Engineer. One to five years working experience as an ME beyond the degree is necessary. It would be advantageous if an applicant possessed a working understanding of both an ME and EE, but it is not required. This individual will work as part of a team developing various products from their initial concept through final production.
It would be extremely beneficial if candidates have an understanding of overseas product manufacturing as well as an understanding of various Plastic Molding Processes, Metal Manufacturing, Consumer Product Design, and Low Voltage Electronics. A working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent, and all MS Office programs is required.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Product design and development
- Daily detailed communications with our overseas factory engineers and production managers, as well as our internal engineering, production and sales teams
- Acting as a technical liaison to our customers
- Create and setup testing procedures for internal and customer approval processes throughout a products development
- Identify and resolve any product troubleshooting issues
- Have the ability to travel overseas if required
