Job Listing: Business Analyst - MS Access, Excel and VBA
The Business Analyst primary responsibilities are analysis, definition and creation or solutions to business data issues by designing, testing and delivering customized Ad Hoc and On Demand Reports. This job requires the ability to learn the POS systems and data architecture and be able to work independently in creating business intelligence reports.
We are looking for a candidate that is proficient in MS Access and Excel with VBA preferred.
This position would also be involved in analyzing past requests, existing reports and working with the reporting team leads to help define processes that could simplify the effort involved in routine requests and document improvement candidate.
Maintaining a high level of customer response and documenting the business needs and authorization to obtain the information requested is an important part of the job requirements.
Assist in any other GCI projects as needed.
Required Skills
Bachelors in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or related experience required.
Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
Attention to detail is required
Testing and validation discipline required.
Prior experience designing and testing Ad Hoc reports, researching data issues, and knowledge of reporting tools and methods.
Advanced MS Access and EXCEL experience preferred. Working knowledge Cognos, VBA and/or other reporting tools preferred.
Must be a self starter and have the ability to work independently.
