Job Listing: Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control Inspector Swing Shift - 40 Hours per Week (5 Day Shift)
This is an opportunity to use your strong analytical and mathematical skills! In this position you will work with a variety of equipment and materials that require an ability to relate given measurements with physical objects to ensure accuracy in dimensions. You will perform visual and dimensional inspection on a variety of parts to ensure all proper specifications are met prior to shipment. In addition, you will test parts to ensure that they meet quality specifications. You will use your communication skills to interact clearly with supervisors, peers, outside entities in regards to quality control issues. You will document quality control related issues as required. (Issues discrepancy reports and corrective action requests.)

This is a temp to hire position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon. Required Skills

Required Skills for this Quality Control Inspector position include the following:
Minimum 1 - 3 years experience working with quality processes and methodologies in manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
A good understanding of quality processes, documents, procedures and specifications.
Able to interpret drawings and use inspection tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, comparator, pin gages and radius gages.
Able to handle stressful moments to meet deadlines.
Must have good computer skills and able to use MS-Word and Excel programs.
Able to deal professionally with customer and regulatory individuals.
Must have the ability to utilize the measurement devices used in quality control to ensure product specifications are met.
Must be able to accurately and visually inspect parts for correct color and specification adherence.
Must be able to write legibly and calculate basic math formulas.
Must be able to utilize drawings0.
Must have the physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must have the visual acuity to inspect, prepare and analyze data and drawings.
