A leader in eCommerce is looking to hire a CSS/HTML Developer/Technical Coordinator.
Job Summary:
The Technical Coordinator – Front End Development position is part of Our Client's Application Development teams. The position is responsible for the use and integration of Front-end Development technologies to create internal and/or external standards-compliant Internet pages. These pages implement cleanly across different browsers for projects that will be rolled out to the Advance Internet affiliate sites.
This position will interface with the Graphic Design department and business stakeholders under the supervision of the Technical Product Manager of the business vertical.
Job Functions:
Hand coding HTML/XHTML
Creating CSS-based (Cascading Style Sheets) layouts using semantic, W3C standards-compliant HTML.
Communications
JavaScript coding using JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, ProtoType)
Creating Flash/Flex elements and applications
Applying Web 2.0 techniques to an array of project initiatives
Reviewing and adjusting templates for W3C standards compliance
Implementing SEO requirements into templates
Delivery of standards-compliant Application Template for projects
Troubleshooting of Application Templates (Django, Velocity, JSP)
Documentation of all Template work

Ability to solve practical problems
Capable of managing a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Able to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram form
Aggressive desire to learn new applications
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Work in Linux/Apache environment
Database familiarity
Experience with Apache log file analysis
Knowledge of cookies, including issues such as P3P
Project management experience
RSS
XML/XSLT
PHP or other server-side scripting language
Flash-based web applications
MVC web frameworks (Ruby on Rails or Django)
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Degree in Computer Science preferred
