Job Listing: Sr Information Technology Auditor

Overview

TEKsystems is seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Auditor to conduct IT audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls surrounding a highly automated, IT environment. Additionally, this role is primarily responsible for the IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and compliance.

Responsibilities

-Prepares planning activities for IT audits and assigned projects.
-Develops audit objectives for the conduct of IT audits.
-Prepares and reviews audit programs necessary to fulfill the audit objectives.
-Assists the department's risk assessment and audit plan development process.
-Conducts and leads all aspects of the end-to-end IT audit process to include engagement planning, coordination, scope determination, risk and control identification, design of audit programs procedures, testing, and evaluation and analysis of results.
-Prepares adequate documentation supporting all audit work performed to support report preparation.
-Prepares comprehensive, well-written Internal Audit reports summarizing the review results.
-Conducts closing meetings and presentation of IT audit results.
-Follows up on status of prior IT audit recommendations to insure that report recommendations are implemented on a timely basis.
-Provide support to internal and external audit teams as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
Minimum of five years experience in the Information Systems auditing field, preferably with a National Public Accounting firm or Fortune 500 company.
Familiarity with two or more of the following applications and technologies: MS Office, Oracle Financials, Clarify, Database management, Internet Technology, Network routing and switching, Voice Telecommunications, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Software Development, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Windows Networking (Active Directory, Audit Control Language (ACL), SAS, E-Commerce.
Must be able to apply statistical and financial investment concepts to information systems and business situations.
Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
