Job Listing: Pharmacy Technician

Our client, located in the Ft. Lauderdale area is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to become a permanent addition to their staff.

Responsibilities:

-Data entry (entering prescriptions into pharmacy databases).

-Enter new prescriptions into pharmacy system (decipher prescriptions, distinguishing different drug forms and dosages)

-Calculate dispensing quantities and days supply


Qualifications:

-Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

-Ability to work in a fast paced, production-based environment

-Experience in pharmacy technician retail, hospital outpatient, or mail service pharmacy related experience is a must.

-Pharmacy terminology, calculations and drug experience is required.

-The ability to multi-task, effectively communicate both written and verbally, and possess good problem solving skills is essential.

-Strong PC and keyboard skills are required. A technical college degree (pharmacy tech program) or comparable work experience is preferred.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:

-40 hour work schedule; working between 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

-The training period will be approximately 3 weeks, working 8:00a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
