Job Listing: J2EE Application Support Analyst

TEKsystems is seeking a J2EE Application Support Analyst in Dearborn, Michigan.

Position Description:
As an Application Support Analyst, the candidate will support major J2EE applications.

The position duties are:
- Solve complex technical and business issues, manage critical situations, and work with cross functional support teams.
- Interact directly with onsite business customers to resolve Business Center user issues.
- Work directly with J2EE Development Teams to analyze and resolve production problems.
- Work with Infrastructure team to ensure applications perform as required to meet customer expectations.
- Modify and enhance existing functionality in supported applications.
- Monitor the production applications proactively.
- Assist in establishing the programmers development environment.
- Assist in load testing and monitoring memory and CPU usage.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure application components are consistent with other subsystems.
- Off-hour support on a rotational basis required.

Skills Required:
- Ability to directly interface with business customers to support applications in J2EE, Weblogic, B2B Website, SQLJ, JavaScript, XML and LINUX/UNIX cron jobs.
- Analysis, coding, and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Skills Preferred:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience Required:
- 5+ years experience with software design and development.
- 3+ years experience with J2EE/HTML/JavaScript/XML/server side Java-based development.
- 2 years experience with WebLogic application development.
- 2 years application design experience with Oracle or DB2 database.
- 2 years experience with LINUX/UNIX server applications.

Experience Preferred:
- WebSphere application development.
- Experience in Windows server applications.
- Experience in the integration of Vendor/Commercial applications.

Education Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
