TEKsystems' client has an immediate need for an IBM Maximo Developer on a permanent basis.
Description:
Under very limited supervision this position will help coordinate the gathering of business needs, perform software development, system testing, and implementation of IBM Maximo software components and modules. This individual will be responsible for providing application development, system administration and day to day support services for our client's Maximo applications.
Responsibilities:
-Maintaining current patch levels and hotfixes and troubleshooting software bugs and end user system issues.
-Supporting the implementation of new functionality in Maximo including version upgrades and the addition of new modules including Maximo Spatial Analyst and I.T. Asset Management.
-Configuration of the Maximo Enterprise Adapter to integrate with key enterprise wide systems.
-Support of IBM Maximo Mobile Applications including Syclo Work Manager, Inventory Manager, Auditor and Scheduler.
-Supporting the business users who write Actuate reports.
-Coordinating with the Integration Team to ensure Maximo is well integrated into the overall enterprise architecture.
Required experience:
-Experience using Maximo Application Designer to customize applications and Maximo screens.
-A good working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, web services, XML, SQL.
-Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in developing and programming/coding software applications with current industry accepted toolsets and languages and support of custom coded software and applications and off-the-shelf pre-packaged software solutions.
-Experience customizing Maximo Business Components through Java development. This position requires solid experience with Maximo versions 5.x and either 6.x or 7.x. Required skills include working knowledge of Java / J2EE, middleware / web servers, and fundamental abilities in Oracle 9i/10g database environments.
