Our client is looking to add a Customer Service Project Manager to their staff permanently. It is a long term position (7.5 month contract-perm) with room for growth.
FUNCTION:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with special application work including close interaction with customers to bring a job from concept to installation.
DUTIES:
1. Interacts with customers, Regional Sales Managers and all departments, identifying order/project requirements, resolving conflicts between our capabilities and commitments to customers.
2. Processes special product and project orders carefully and expeditiously to ensure all orders ship correctly. This includes establishing a bill of material, assigning correct part-codes, appropriate technical scrutiny of what is specified, determining the correct breakdown of parts, assigning commission and processing into Encore.
3. Acts as a customer advocate at all Specials-Review-Group (SRG) meetings to determine the feasibility of accepting special application work and then helps the customer with the execution of the order.
4. Guides the Engineering group in an effort to provide accurate documentation to a customer in the form of submittals or layouts and a bill of material and installation instructions.
5. Helps our Reps with proper documentation to keep order clarity issues to a minimum. Coordinates meetings or on the phone to ensure all specific details are covered on all projects.
6. Reports on all jobs processed through Engineering whether for layout, submittal or fabrication drawings.
7. Provides support to other department functions when required (i.e. order entry, responses to customer inquiries, filing, etc.)
8. Performs additional duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in a technical customer support role
- Technical aptitude and strong math skills are essential along with excellent communication skills.
- MS office skills (Word and Excel) are required
- ERP/MRP experience a plus.
- Wiring and/or a manufacturing background would be helpful.
- Familiarity with Blueprints a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

Heavy telephone use. Personal computer and general office equipment.
