Job Listing: Sr. Production Analyst

Our client is looking for a Sr Production Analyst for a contract to hire position in Irving. The perm salary range is between 65-75K.

The Senior Production Analyst key accountability is to provide advanced job scheduling expertise and support across all production platforms (UNIX, Windows NT, AS/400, etc). Complete Incident Reports in a timely manner, participate in morning production meetings, provide on-call support and conduct moderate-to-complex training on Control-M procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
Defines, tests and implements changes to the production job schedule to meet business and system requirements.
Develops and recommends improvements to department policies and procedures
Leads complex production scheduling, project or recovery efforts, providing recovery analysis for application and job schedule failures.
Recommends production scheduling improvements for operational efficiency
Provides second-level support to production control analysts as needed. Refers problems to third- level support when required (Vendor Support).
Integrate new or updated job streams into the overall production schedule
Trains and mentors production control analysts and other production services partners.
Works with application development project teams to define production job schedule requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer related field or the equivalent experience in an environment where Control-M is the primary job scheduler.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Control-M or 3 years in an enterprise job scheduling capacity.
- Experience with Serena AND/OR Control-M is REQUIRED.
- Experience supporting a wide variety of business applications, with understanding of how applications interrelate (3 years)
- Console operations, job scheduling, or related information technology experience (3 years)
- Knowledge of production operations support requirements for new business applications.
- Use of automated scheduling, diagnostic, monitoring, problem and change management tools (3 years)
- Participating in systems development and implementation projects (1 year)
- Advanced knowledge of a variety of operating systems (AIX-UNIX, Windows NT/2000, OS/400).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment, communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to evaluate problems logically, handles complex scheduling, meet defined service levels and provide technical leadership.
- Strong coaching and interpersonal skills with strong problem analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Unix, and Windows XP.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
