Job Listing: Implementation Architect

TEKsystems is currently seeking an Implementation Architect for a contract position with one of our clients in Wilmington, DE.

This person will be more responsible for the resource mgmt, solutions architecture and project mgmt of this initiative. This person will drive and implement this very large re-engineering project through production. This person will probably manage 2-3 Sr. Tech leads and 5-10 Developers. This person will not do any coding but should come from a technical background and/or be a former developer/lead.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, architect, design and manage J2EE and C++ programming to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects.
Must adhere to architecture standards, mentor less experienced team members, perform code reviews, and lead presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, and best practice development
Utilize Web Services and Java RMI technologies to improve interface/API and significantly enhance integration capability between front-end and back-end systems.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated fluency in Java and Object-Oriented technology along with an understanding of middleware and web integration principles
Understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployments.
Experience with high availability solutions such as hardware load balancers, Weblogic clustering, Weblogic multi-pools, and Oracle RAC
Experience with separation of layers between transport, data access (i.e. iBatis, Hybernate), business logic, and presentation technologies
Specific experience with implementing an MVC architecture on a fat client using the Microsoft.net Framework a plus
Experience with Weblogic, EJB’s, JDBC, and Oracle Database
Experience with Microsoft SOAP framework
Experience with Web Services and XML
Experience with Enterprise Application Integration design patterns
Hands on experience with version control and defect tracking systems.
Project and Resource management experience required
Experience with end to end solution architecture design required
