Job Listing: Senior SQL 2005 Database Engineer

This position is with a client of ours who is an Industry leading financial services firm that seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work with team of 5 other IT professionals who are supporting a proprietary, web-based benefits administration system. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial services or brokerage environment. Key attributes include teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects.

Software Experience Required
- Very strong development experience with SQL Server 2005
- T/SQL
- XML
- VB 6.0
- Visual Basic.NET
- SSIS (preferred)
- Classic ASP and ASP.Net development (preferred)
- IIS 6.0 (preferred)

Experience Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in an application development role
- Demonstrated experience writing complex business logic in SQL Server stored procedures and functions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex solutions in a timely manner

- Design and develop complex stored procedures
- Analyze, design, code, document, and test new processes to add application functionality
- Enhance existing stored procedures
- Maintenance and support activities as assigned by management
