Aerotek CE is currently recruiting for a Hardware Electrical Engineer for immediate full-time employment in Fredericksburg, VA.
- Serve as the technical lead for the programs transmitter and receiver sites
- Plan, prioritize, and execute hardware and software modifications to ensure the long term operational capability of the program
- Maintain a laboratory used for troubleshooting, repair, and evaluation of low-noise amplifiers, frequency down-conversion modules, digital circuits, data acquisition and digital signal processing equipment
- Plan and execute time critical maintenance actions to restore full operational capability to transmitter and receiver sites
- Create automated test procedures for radar sub-systems using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and oscilloscopes using C++
Education / Experience / Other Requirements:
Minimum: BS & 4 yrs exp; MS & 2 yrs exp. Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university
Must have knowledge of real-time multi-facetted systems, and be adept at analyzing operational software functions and at developing software tools needed to analyze radar data.
Must have knowledge in systems engineering disciplines
Good written and oral communication skills are required including ability to organize, write and deliver artifacts to management and customers.
Must work well in a team environment, and able to deal with customers, government representatives, peers and associates.
Engineering experience working on RF systems is a plus. Desired experienced at deploying hardware and software modifications. Software development expertise in Visual Basic and C/C++ in a Linux environment.
