Job Listing: Systems Engineer

Our Milwaukee area client is currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have Linux/UNIX system admin experience, foundations of networking, general shell scripting experience, and SAN experience. Primary responsibilities include: specification, design, implementation and documentation of the Clients’ Platform products. The system consists of all the hardware and software required to support the clients’ Enterprise Content Manager software suite, which includes the operating system (Linux), high availability software, TCP/IP networking, storage subsystems, and etc.
Externally, Senior System Engineers interact occasionally with customers in providing third level support, sales assistance, or technical assistance with new implementations.
Internally, the individual will report to an Engineering Manager and will interact with team leads, project managers, and software engineers to complete tasks. Senior System Engineers provide assistance to the Quality Assurance department in writing and reviewing test plans and providing systems support. They also interact with Manufacturing by developing and supporting the Automated Manufacturing Process.

Education and Experience:
1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
2. At least 7 years of experience with a background in systems administration and/or systems software.
