Aviation company with a location in Key West, Fl. currently has openings for 2 Aircraft Non-Destructive Inspection Fighter Jet Mechanics on a 6 months probationary period to hire basis.
Shift: Monday-Friday- 6:30AM-2PM or 2:00PM-10:30PM.
Pay: $33.34

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Operates/performs liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, and composite material NDI methods. Operates/performs optical inspection equipment, gaseous leak detection equipment, electrical conductivity measurement equipment, hardness testing equipment, ultrasonic leak detection equipment, magnetic rubber inspection, and radiation safety procedures. Interprets indications and determines type and extent of flaws.
* Candidate will be required to review and interpret field-related blueprints, schematics, customer technical orders, quality assurance standard practices, maintenance instructions, military specifications, quality procedures local (QPL) etc., and must be capable of interpreting and complying with all Department Of Defense (DOD), Company and Manufacturer directives/policies as may be required and directed by management.
* Must be familiar with the OPNAVINST 4790.2 series instructions. The Aircraft Mechanic shall perform aircraft special/scheduled inspections, e.g., washes, 150 hour inspections, etc.
* Responsible for the self directed adherence to the Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies and mandated Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety, and other applicable Navy/Air Force and Company Program requirements.
* Must be capable of performing and accepting responsibilities of a LEAD position and assumption of duties as a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) or Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) as directed by management.

* Must be able to read and write the English language.
2. Must be capable of providing training in your specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees.
3. Be capable of obtaining and maintaining all qualifications/certifications in your classification/specialty and cross train into other areas within your realm of expertise.
4. Required to read and interpret blueprints, Technical Orders (T.O.), NAVAIR publications and planning documents as well as use schematic drawings, diagrams and charts to trace and analyze systems.
5. Be capable of working overtime and any assigned shift.
6. Be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
7. Comply with and participate in the FOD Program.
8. Ensure strict compliance with the Tool Control Program.
9. Perform off-site related duties to include detachments when directed.
10. Will be required to operate NALCOMIS terminal and document work performed on appropriate/applicable forms and records.
11. Responsible for the proper use and operation of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
12. Utilize the Computerized Self Evaluation Checklist (CSEC) as an auditing and reporting tool.
13. Review and provide input for quality deficiency reports, engineering/safety investigations, aircraft discrepancy reports, aircraft technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports.
14. Will attend meetings and conferences as required and directed by management.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 3 years within the last 8 years practical experience in the specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, as outlined in the OPNAVINST 4790.2 series, and other applicable instructions, directives and publications.
*The last 2 years must have been as an aircraft non-destructive inspection technician; in the military (E-5 or above); civil service; or with a Government aviation contractor.
