Our client is looking for someone with experience with: LWAPP, Wireless networking, SSID, WCS, Connecting stand alone access points, IP addressing.
-This person needs extensive experience with Cisco Router and Switches. They city uses 3550, 3750, 6500, 2960, 7200, 3845 series routers and switches. They also want someone with experience with protocols: EIGRP, BGP, TCPIP, VTP, etc.
-Experience with VLAN, ASA firewall, External DNS, Spanning Tree/loop prevention.
Overview
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Installs, configures, operates and troubleshoots routed and switched networks involving local area network, wide area network, and dial access services including IP, ICRP, serial, frame relay, RIP, VLANs, Ethernet, and access list protocols and modular design principles.
Secures and maintains network infrastructures to protect productivity and reduce costs including perimeter security, virtual private networks, and intrusion protection for an integrated network security solution.
Job Skills/Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Business or Public Administration, Physical, Social Sciences, Liberal Arts or a related field. Three years of network engineer, network design, router and switches, load balancer and firewall, IP addressing, protocol troubleshooting, or capacity planning experience in a client/server environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be on 24-hour call.
Must be certified in two areas as a Cisco Certified: Design Professional, Internet work Professional, Network Professional, or Security Professional.
Desirables:
Cisco Wireless Services Module (WiSM), Cisco 1130/1200/1510/1520 series Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) access points, Outdoor Mesh. Air Magnet Wireless Analyzer/Wireless Packet Analysis, Cisco Secure Services Client (CSSC), EAP-Fast, 802.1X, WPA2 Enterprise, Cisco WCS, Cisco ACS, Solarwinds Orion, Ciscoworks, Juniper SA SSL VPN, Netmotion, ITIL, Cisco ASA experience desired. Experience working with vendors, and ISPs, and External DNS, BGP, EIGRP, Frame-Relay are a plus. Certifications in Cisco Wireless (CAWLFS), Routing and Switching (CCNP, CCIP, CCDP, CCSP), and firewalls are preferred.
