Our client is looking for a Automation Product Line Manager who will lead our inside sales/technical support team to provide inside technical and administrative support for our client’s product line and support the distributor/representative network and Regional Sales Managers.
On a day to day basis, this individual will be responsible for
- Inside sales customer service technical support: respond to calls from distributors, reps and end users regarding technical information about vacuum products and product applications.
- Customer Service: respond to customer questions about orders, stock status, order expediting and utilizing distributor/rep websites.
- Compile and maintain technical database in conjunction with Engineering, Sales and Marketing departments.
- Provide system design assistance and product recommendations to increase customer’s profitability and productivity.
- Regional support to include the following:
- Communication updates with regional managers.
- Conduct lab tests and simulate applications with customer product.
- Preparation of quotations for standard and special items.
- Competitive analysis.
- Participate in training presentations for Distributors/Reps.
- Provide CAD drawings and other support as requested.
To be qualified for this position, the individual must be required to have:
Requirements include:
- BA/BS in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
- 4 years applicable engineering experience.
- 2 years experience leading a team.
- Ability to speak English and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective written skills.
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Cad.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving through analytical troubleshooting.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bilingually fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese.
- Experience providing solutions in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge/experience within the vacuum or industrial automation industry.
