Job Listing: Electrical Maintenance Lead

Our client, a worldwide manufacture, is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional as a Lead Technical Specialist to provide leadership for shift maintenance electricians in the production facility in Mobile, AL.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical leadership of the Shift Electricians
- Software development and engineering of technical systems approaches for processing and observation in plant automation in steel industry
- Integration of databases, data management systems, HMI systems and communication tools in distributed computer systems
- Production of technical specifications
- Ensuring the readiness and availability of the Level II, servers, QDR, PDA, SIS, HMI system, network equipment of the production lines
- Ensuring the readiness of the backup systems, including power supplies
- Ensuring the utilization and availability of necessary spare parts under the point quality and costs
- Encourage flexibility and enhance skills in technology requirements
- Ensuring the coordination and cooperation with Level III and Level IV teams
- Ensuring compliance regarding occupational safety and environmental protection

Daily Tasks Performed:

- Take part in the daily meetings and briefings on the Maintenance and Production situation
- Supporting and developing the systems, daily maintenance
- Planning of the fixed Maintenance line break downs regarding the whole electrical activities at the HDGL line
- Project work
- Supporting the production in analysis reports

Position Requirements:

- BS degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related area, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Maintenance experience minimum 4 years in the described Duties or, closely related experience and working in carbon steel environment for 2 or more years.
Must have:
- Knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
- Knowledge of min. one common programming language as C++, further programming languages (e.g. Java) are of advantage
- Knowledge in scripting and SQL-Statements, of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and Unix, of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, SAP XI, EDI, FTP and of current database systems, including Oracle and MS SQL-Server.
- Knowledge in Level II systems (XP, Linux based), process data acquisition systems (IBA), HMI systems (Wonderware, WinCC)
- Knowledge in SAP, Microsoft office products
- Presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team and provide task direction to team members
Desired knowledge and skills:

- Experience in special technological functions like flatness control system, skin pass mill elongation control system, furnace control systems, surface inspection systems, furnace mathematical models
- Experience with SPC (statistical process control) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- Experience with the Hot Dip Galvanizing process is desirable
