Duration: Contract-to-hire – within 6 months


Security requirements: A Secret Clearance is required or reinstated.




-MUST have a current SECRET CLEARANCE
-4yr Degree, preferably in Computer Science
-8yrs IT experience
-a “can do anything generalist” attitude
-Must have good written & Oral communication – they will be interacting with customer's and Management.
-Experience with Exchange, and Active Directory is a must
-Certifications– MCSE, A+, and CISSP (or pursuing)




Interview – will consist of a phone screen, and perhaps an in-person interview.







Job Responsibilities
GENERAL SUMMARY: The candidate will support the end client. Successful candidates will provide information system solutions and technical support in one or more areas including personal computer/client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, database design and administration, telecommunications and network support and administration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of the networks nationwide. Tests and implements interface programs; manages network performance and maintains network security. Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Evaluates, develops, and maintains telecommunications systems, router and switch topologies. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications. Establishes network policies and procedures regarding access methods, security validation checks, and documentation; Researches hardware and software issues associated with the customer's IT infrastructure; supports Active Directory and Exchange implementation across the USCIS footprint. Maintains fault-tolerant systems and manages system backups. Provides technical support and mentoring within a team environment; establishes and maintains project schedules and associated deliverables. Provides support for the development and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures within the customer's current infrastructure. As a collateral duty, the employee must also serve as an Information Systems Security Officer responsible for ensuring that vulnerabilities within the customer's network are identified, tracked and corrected. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment supporting multiple levels of personnel.

Education/Equivalent
Training Required
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Candidate must be ITIL Foundation certified or capable of obtaining ITIL Foundation level certification within 60 days of hire (training provided at employer expense).

Experience

Requires 8-10 years of related experience in systems analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in systems analysis and design. Proficiency in the use of one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.

Unique/Additional Requirements
Local and CON.U.S. travel will be required. Extended travel can be up to 1 month.
