Our client a well known financial institution is looking for a research assistant.

On a day to day basis this individual will be responsible for:

The Research Assistant plays an important role in supporting the analysts who review the entities that our bond and money market funds are invested in. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to learn new processes quickly and efficiently. It is well suited for an individual who is able to work productively within a team environment and independently without direct supervision. In addition, being able to identify process improvements and communicate them to management are key contributors to success within this role. Additional responsibilities include verification of ratings, obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation, report distribution and filing.

To be qualified for this position candidates must have:
BA/BS with 1-3 years business experience, or equivalent
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in excel, word and use of the Internet
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of or sincere interest in learning about mutual funds and fixed income securities
