Job Listing: Plant Operations Manager

A growing small sized manufacturing company in the Peekskill, NY area has an immediate opening for a Plant Operations Manager.

Major job duties include:

Directly manage production line
Drive innovation in production to reduce build time and reduce production costs
Manage hourly workers
Coordinate with Product Engineering group to ensure manufacturability of new products; design production line for new products
Oversee inventory management in coordination with purchasing department
Maintain relationship with shipping companies to facilitate delivery of units nationwide

Job requirements:

Manufacturing engineering degree preferred but not necessary
3-5 years management experience in a manufacturing or plant operations environment required
Familiarity with ISO standards preferred
Experience in running a production line required
Willingness to be hands-on
Team player
Good communication skills
Good people skills important
While strong technical skills are important, the ability to work flexibly and take the initiative is also valued.
The candidate must be comfortable working for a dynamic and growing small company.
