Job Listing: Research and Development Engineer

Our client, a leader in the textile industry (manufacturing medical devices), is current seeking a Research and Development Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for R&D projects, from initiating projects, planning and scheduling production, to the submission of the project to either the Director of R&D or the customer.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working in the R&D group as an Account Manager (working on more development than research)
- Handle 20 to 30 medical device projects at any given time
- Interface with customers while quoting the pricing, initiating the contracts, and handling the negotiations while staying within budget
- Someone with a mechanical background is nice, but not required (for the development aspects)
- Meet deadlines that are clearly indicated by the Director of R&D

Location: Souderton, PA
Position: Research and Design Engineer
Pay: $58,000 to $67,000 per year

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's (B.S.) or Master's degree preferably in Textiles, Mechanical, or Biomedical
- Previous knowledge of textiles and other engineering applications
- Basic knowledge of ISO standards
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office package, basic CAD drawings, etc.)
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Must be able to deal with a stressful workload, as the ideal candidate will be working on many projects at one time
