Job Listing: HazMat Material Handler

We are currently looking for candidates with a Compliance Analyst Clerk with a background in aviation and working with hazardous materials.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring programs for the transportation/shipping of hazardous materials. Objective is to prevent FAA imposed fines to the company and ensure full compliance with all hazardous materials activity.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred 3 years aviation experience including 1 year experience in one of the following areas: warehouse, shipping/receiving, tool crib, parts inventory, requisition and stocking
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- CAT Logistics 3T Hazardous Material Training or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation finance/accounting, and web-based applications
- Working knowledge of handling hazardous materials
- Basic knowledge of hazardous materials and associated regulatory ‘risks’
- Basic knowledge of DOT and IATA regulations
- Working knowledge of computers to input and retrieve data for Inventory Management
- Basic knowledge of packaging and shipping hazardous materials
- Strong communication skills on the phone as well as customer service
- Skill in listening to internal and external customers and asking appropriate questions
- Basic knowledge of FAA regulations
- Working knowledge of aircraft parts and terminology
