Job Listing: Energy Engineer - Facilities Assessor

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

- Preferred candidate will have the ability to evaluate existing DDC and pneumatic controls, boiler plants, steam system familiarity, and chiller plant.

- Cost estimating using RS Means required.

- Ability to evaluate utility bills and make recommendations for savings based on rate advantages and determination of facility anomalies.

- Experience with renewable energy sources and co-generation considered a benefit.

- Lighting familiarity required but will not be a major component of job responsibility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in energy auditing and related demand-side management projects.

- Strong writing skills and familiarity with Excel, Word, and building modeling software such as Carrier HAP, TRANE System Analyzer, and/or DOE E-quest preferred.

- HVAC design experience, including building controls preferred.

- Certified Energy Manager, Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, LEED, and Certified Energy Auditor certifications are a plus.
