Job Listing: Piping Design

An engineering firm in Tampa, Florida, is searching for AutoCAD and/or PDS Piping Designers/Drafters to join their team on a 2-6 month contract.

No degree is necessary but a MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PIPING DESIGN IS A MUST. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or PDS Software.

Designers will develop plant layouts as well as design and maintain process pressure piping systems. This position will produce optimum plant designs and develop area layouts and piping designs from conceptual studies through to issuing of isometrics and drawings.

Duties:

- Utilize CAD to prepare layout and design drawings using practical design knowledge.
- Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
- Check compliance with Piping design guides, standards, specifications and procedures.


Qualifications:

Experience in piping design with design experience in refining, pharmaceutical or chemical industries.
Degree/Higher Education preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
