Our client, a Fortune 500 company and leader in the financial industry, is looking for a Business Systems Analyst. The company is a diversified financial services organization offering a broad array of credit, savings and loan products to customers in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
The Business Systems Analyst will supply application management support for small enhancements and large projects. Support continual assessments on the Hyperion Planning forecasting tools utilized by the Corporate Planing, Infrastructure Finance, US Card Finance and Card Operations Finance Departments.
Pure Business Systems Analyst activities represent approximately 75% of the position: functional analysis, systems support, requirements collection, business/system process development and improvement, functional testing, issue analysis and resolution, Solutions Delivery Methodology (SDM) documentation, etc. IT leadership skills are required for the other 25%: release management and coordination, task and project management, management level client interaction, budget tracking and analysis, etc.
The Business Systems Analyst must be capable of operating with minimal supervision and accepting ownership of various aspects of IT delivery to the business partners. The individual is expected to quickly escalate issues and opportunities to the IT Senior Manager for solid communication and partnership. Work closely with Managers and Analysts across the lines of business to ensure the IT systems are developed and supported to satisfy evolving business needs.
1+ year of extensive experience in defining requirements for, providing troubleshooting on and supporting complex financial models written in Hyperion Planning business rules (Hyperion Essbase calculation scripts) is required. Additional Hyperion experience is preferred. Mature and professional Business Systems Analyst with solid skills in organization, team leadership, customer service and oral and written communication is required, as well as a sense of ownership and responsibility for total IT execution. Results oriented individual with a positive attitude is desired, in addition to a familiarity with business and financial concepts.
12+ month contract with 40+ hours per week required. NOTE: We are unable to work on a corp-to-corp basis for this opportunity.
