Job Listing: Electrical Superintendent - Solar Energy

They are currently looking for a Electrical Project Superintendent to help them continue their mission of making solar energy competitive among the other forms of electrical generation today.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

- Supervise the electrical equipment installation of high speed production lines, 69kv Substation, 12kv power distribution, and bulk gas storage pad switchgear for the M2 Construction project.

- Assist the Construction Manager in managing installation of electrical equipment or multiple high speed production lines.

- Oversee the construction, commissioning and start-up of a 69kv substation, 12kv switch gear and power distribution.

- Monitor and schedule 3rd party inspections as required and work with Gerald Contractor and Subcontractors to coordinate such inspections

RESPONSIBILITES:

-Advise Construction Manager of any construction engineering or scheduling problems and/or conflicts and assist in also answering RFI's.

-On an on going basis work with EH & S to ensure General Contractors and Subcontractors comply with our client's safety policies and procedures

-Work with Construction Manager, Project Team, General Contractor Team, and Engineering Team to resolve problems and/or conflicts.

- Work with Tool Install Team to get Production Line Tools installed and services and systems online for engineering commissioning and start up within schedule

***Must be a team player and have the ability and initiative to work independent with minimal supervision***

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in direct supervision of electrical installations in the manufacturing or process industry

- Have an in-depth craft knowledge of electrical codes and safe practices which includes Lock-out Tag-out procedures.

- Must have experience supervising jobs that are very fast paced with a well defined budget and accelerated schedule

- Must also have experience with high voltage power distribution, substation or MCC construction

-Experience as a QA/QC supervisor or knowledge of PV Solar Systems or installation experience would be a plus!

EDUCATION:

-Completion of an Electrical apprenticeship or a journeyman level license

- Course work in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus

SALARY:

This position is paying a minimum of $30 an hour (DOE)
