Job Listing: Sr. Systems Programmer

TEKsystems is in need of a Sr. Systems Programmer/Analyst to support a large client in the DC area. Our client is in the process of revamping and overhauling the current test environments and infrastructure and is in need of a resource to serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). This resource needs to be able to analyze the current test environments and design the new environments. He/she will need to develop the detailed technical approach including tasks and associated timeline that support on-going development in the existing environments while concurrently implementing the new environments on mainframe and mid-tier platforms.

Tasks:
-Analyze the current test environments and recommend improvements.
-Design and layout a new and improved test environments.
-Develop the detailed tasks and associated timeline needed for successful implementation of these new environments by 12/31/08
-Implement new test environments.
-Analyze and recommend improvements to support Environment Management and Configuration Management process initiatives.
-Support FTE SME’s in maintaining current environment and infrastructure.
-Create all necessary documents and communicate to the team in support of the project
-Conduct training and knowledge transfer on new test environments with FTEs.
-Other duties as assigned.

Specific Required Skills:

-Sr. Systems Programmer with a minimum of 10 years’ strong mainframe experience including:
*MVS
*CICS
*CA7
*RACF
*ISPF Dialog Manager
-Mid-tier/mainframe platforms and their associated Operation Systems and Tools including:
*MQ Series
*Strong Websphere MQ series experience
*DB2 UDB
*UNIX, Scripting, automation experience
*AIX
*Strong REXX
*Z/OS

Additional Specific Skill sets Sought:

-Enterprise Service Bus
-Business Rules Engines
-SOA
-Java
-Serena Tools Suite
-Mid-tier J2EE experience
-Assembler experience is preferred
