Job Listing: NICET Level II Fire Alarm Technician

An industry leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems is currently seeking a NICET Level II Certified Fire Alarm Technician for their Austin location.


Job Description:

Duties include, but are not limited to: Programming & testing Fire Alarm Systems; Exhibiting effective customer service skills; reading and understanding complicated diagrams, schematics, and software/systems programs; repairing low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment; availability to work “ON CALL” shift; perform other duties as directed and deemed necessary.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Experience with Fire Alarm Systems
Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Applications, and spreadsheet creation is essential.
Experience with and having a solid understanding of programming logic but no specific language is required. The software resembles that of industry logic controllers (PLC’s).
Must possess excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
