Job Listing: Business Intelligence Developer

A local client has a need for a Business Intelligence Developer for a direct placement position.

This candidate would work closely with the Information Systems team in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure for reporting / business analytics. This person will have primary responsibility for ETL and report development.

Responsibilities include: This individual will work within a team of 5 developers. The Data Warehouse was implemented in the spring of 2007. Must be a strong front end developer, and have the ability to build out dashboards. This work will be done in a three phase approach.

ETL development and production support
Report development and production support
Dashboard/Scorecard development
Create BI system validation plans

-Must Haves for this Position:

-Bachelors degree in Information Systems or a related field / 4 year degree
-Familiarity with standard relational and dimensional database concepts and best practices
-Working knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts: OLAP, ROLAP, dimensions, & facts
-Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005 and Oracle database systems 10g
-Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
-3-5 years of Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse experience with ETL and report development
-3-5 years experience coding Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures
-3-5 years development experience with Crystal Reports (XI R2 experience preferred)
-1-2 years Business Objects Dashboard Manager and Performance Manager (XI R2 experience preferred)
-1-2 years development experience with Microsoft Reporting Services preferred
-Ability to communicate with business users and technology staff in order to implement business solutions
-Understanding of common business systems (ERP, CRM, PLM, Clinical)
-Familiarity with working in a regulated environment
-Other programming experience preferred (Visual Basic.net, Java, etc.)
-Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP certification) preferred
