Our client is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the Operational Excellence Initiative in partnership with the Site and Solution Set leaders. The Process Improvement Specialist will facilitate and lead the selection and execution of process improvement events and projects focused on waste elimination and variation reduction. This position is responsible for determining improvement opportunities, time frame, required resources and benefits in support of the Site and Solution Set annual and long term objectives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the selection of improvement projects and events. Facilitate, lead and support improvement projects and events. Train and mentor site management and employees in the tools of Operational Excellence. Continuously monitor opportunities across the facility.
Drive improvement through results in the measured Site and Solution set objectives. Identify and recommend solutions to organizational and technical barriers to the Site and Solution Set leaders. Influence decisions and improvements within a matrix organization. Introduce and share best practices within and across businesses.

Required Skills
Additional Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills including a command of statistical analysis and fact based problem solving methodology. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent team building and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and solicit diverse ideas and viewpoints towards the stated goals of the team. Strong communication and presentation skills with small and large cross-functional groups. Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion with measurable significant results. Strong computer skills: MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Minitab or equivalent, software tools.
BS/BA in Engineering, Technical, or related Business degree (or 8 years equivalent directly related work experience). 5 + years directly related technical, production or business administration experience including 2+ years Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt active experience. Certified Kaizen Leader or demonstrated workshop leadership in manufacturing and transactional environments. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt including demonstrated project results in dollar return and DoE execution with statistically significant change in the measured output variable. Oracle ERP / MRP system knowledge a plus. Military (DOD) manufacturing & applications a plus. Six Sigma Black Belt certified. VP of Operations is six sigma black belt. 8-10 years experience.
