Job Listing: Oracle Applications Engineer
The Engineer will work with Operations groups across all offices and assist in business analysis, recommendation, and implementation of systems tailored for our Construction Field Operations. This highly visible position will report to the Director of Oracle Applications in the Corporate I.T. Department and help drive the implementation of new technologies and systems for the Field team.
Specific Duties:
•Assist the Operation’s team in the implementation of applications related to Construction Field Operations.
•Core setup, interface configuration, workflow documentation, requirement definition, and fit/gap analysis for company.
•Provide end-user support and training for core Oracle Operation systems and custom Engineering & Construction extensions.
•Facilitate “to-be” requirement workshops to define business processes.
•Act as liaison to other Oracle Application teams and be a focal point for cross-application integration issues.
•Coordinate cross-functional data needs between the HR, Financial, and Operations teams.
•Review employee-user responsibilities, menu structures, security profiles.
•Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective procedures and solutions.
•Define, develop, and implement organizational hierarchies, security profiles, security report groups, and responsibilities.
•Train Operations employees on core Oracle Operation Systems and processes.
•Develop security hierarchies and profiles.
•Develop and Execute test scripts.
•Analyze and document reporting needs not supported by standard reports.
•Develop and manage User Acceptance Testing procedures and execution of the testing processes.
•Provide documentation tailored to company needs.
•Provide on-going training and post-production support for all deployed modules/locations.
Required Skills
The ideal Candidate will be a Functional Lead with 5+ years of Oracle Financials experience.
MUST have Oracle Applications 11i experience.
Knowledge of Construction Industry processes desired.
Hands on experience in areas of core setup, interface configuration, workflow documentation, requirement definition, and fit/gap analysis.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Project Management Experience.
Knowledge of Construction Industry Business Processes.
Business Analyst/Business Process Re-Engineering Experience.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree.
