HOURS: 40 per week, Monday-Friday
An Internet-based travel agency has a contract position available, through 12/31/2008, for an Email Technical Producer to design email templates and act as a Subject Matter Expert.
Tasks:
The Email Technical Producer will perform the following tasks:
Building multiple design templates for various email campaigns focused on offering rich functionality and layouts that are cross-client compatible.
Acting as Our Client's Subject Matter Expert on email/page building and scripting capabilities and limitations, contributing this expertise throughout the company as needed.
Partnering with stakeholders in Editorial and Design to ensure that all campaigns are easy to update with static content and dynamically rendered data.
Working with Development leads to ensure that all campaigns integrate with Deployment and Measurement technologies.
Documenting guidelines and standards to support ongoing need.

This is an approximately 4-month contract position (to 12/31/2008), through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support many of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest and within the United States.

Required Skills for this Email Technical Producer position include the following:
A B.A./B.S. degree preferred
3-5 years of experience with Front-end Web Development and Web Publishing systems
Any photo/graphic production experience also a plus
Demonstrated proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, VB and other scripting languages
Basic understanding of XML schemas and XSLT
Strong understanding of current web-based email constraints and web browser rendering differences a big plus
Ability to turn creative designs/layouts into finished product
Knowledge and use of Bug and Source Control systems
Experience managing projects and meeting strict deadlines
Excellent communication skills with team members from multiple disciplines (e.g. Graphic Designers, Editors, Application Developers, Business Analysts, etc.)
Solid understanding of Imaging tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) and HTML editors
Solid familiarity with latest Design and Development software, and other industry standards/trends
