Job Listing: APPLICATION SPECIALIST - Biotech/Liquid-Handler
Work for a leader in Biotechnology as an Application Specialist. This project is estimated to be a 6 month to 1 year assignment with strong potential for permanent placement for the right individual.
Our client is searching for an Applications Specialist to expand their Systems Team which focuses on their two major system product lines, which are Automation Platforms.
Responsibilities Include:
- To build on the success of our automated platforms by supporting our system sales and delivery process. This involvement covers the entire process from the pre-sales discussions with our customers, to producing test specifications and leading the acceptance testing at both our facility in Menlo Park, CA and at the customer sites.
- To support our Research and Development and Product Development activities. Our client is committed to continuing to develop innovative products and solutions. The Applications Team plays a key part in this process; contributing with ideas and feedback from our customers as well as performing the required experimental work to prove and demonstrate the functionality and value of new products.

Required Skills
-Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science or PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent
-2+ years experience in Life Science research automation, laboratory methods, terminology, and applications
-Track record of success in interfacing and partnering with cross-functional internal and external teams at all levels and disciplines
-Experience in building long term relationships with clients with a passion for customer satisfaction
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations
-Computer proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-High energy level, self-motivated, with demonstrated success working independently or in a team-oriented environment
-Ability to make decisions, keep composure and sense of humor in difficult situations or possible conflicting deadlines
-Available for up to 30% business travel
-Valid driver's license Position is located in Menlo Park, CA (Bay Area)
