Job Listing: Design Engineer with Circuit Board Layout Experience

As needs evolve in the emerging field of Printed Electronics, new opportunities arise for talented Engineers ready to develop and enhance their career in an up and coming industry. Our client, a leader in the industry, is looking for a Design Engineer like you to bring your skills and experience with board layouts that can be used in the Print Electronics industry.

This position involves electrical engineering design support for development and customer specific programs. As a Print Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical design layouts and assembly specifications.

Daily tasks will include:

-Creating a printed electronics schematic, layer stack, part drawings and input for pricing proposals.

-Interface with customers" technical staff as well as with internal engineering staff.

Principal Responsibilities include:
-The development of designs to implement traditional electronics in print electronics

-Evaluate electrical designs to determine feasibility of realization at the quote input stage of products

-Create and verify circuit layer stacks and resulting tooling
Identify and source tooling materials to improve tool performance and production yield

-Perform DFM, DFT, etc. on designs to optimize product performance and yield

-Provide key customer interface on program requirements as well as appropriate corrective actions

-Work as a technical team member to support others" programs not directly under your control.



Required Skills

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge that a successful candidate will have:

-Working knowledge of PCAD, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD

-3-5 years experience as board layout CAD operator or electronic design engineer

-Experience developing tolerance and tolerance stacking requirements

-Work experience as a customer contact for technical program interface

-Working knowledge of new project introduction processes

-General knowledge of printed circuit board layout and circuit design
