Job Listing: Asset Management Associate
This person will be responsible for assisting in shipping and receiving of equipment, accurately recording asset information, maintaining accurate inventories of spare server parts, network equipment, and cables and consumables. In addition, it is the company's vision to standardize critical supply chain processes, SOPs, policies, and tools across the program - meaning the successful candidate needs to be able to function as part of an ASM Supply Chain Program Improvement Project Team. The project will require project management and supply chain management skills, including acquisition of current state knowledge of DC operations environment (inter-dependencies between ASM, Site Services, and Build Services functions) in order to contribute to program-wide improvements. Career path is Supply Chain Operations Manager position or Supply Chain Project Manager.
Maintain accurate inventory, cycle counts, RMA, shipping and receiving records.
Maintain accurate inventories of server and network spare parts.
Manage the physical storage and identification of all assets including property specific assets owned by customers which are used on upcoming projects.
Track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
Administrative:
Respond to tickets generated by the SOC or customer request and provide assistance to ASM Team Leads.
Read all incoming email and flag messages that require attention by the ASM Leads.
Perform any administrative work required to keep functional, including filing, replenishing office supplies and organizing work space.
Maintain relationships with Team Leads outside of Asset Management (Deployment, Site Services, etc.) and develop knowledge of processes necessary for efficient delivery.

Required Skills
Prefer an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management and/or equivalent experience in a large IT corporation.
Proven ability to think in systems terms - see the big picture how ASM, Build Services, and Site Services functions are interdependent in terms of workflow, tasks, and processes.
Must be able to comply with all company processes and procedures.
Understanding of cycle count processes, inventory control, supply chain management.
Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
Be PC competent with strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of all types of work performed in a data center and familiarity with data center infrastructure.
Knowledge of ticket management applications desired.
Knowledge of scope of work to ensure proper determination of how work should be distributed.
Must be able to develop productive, collaborative working relationships.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and not easily rattled by irate or pushy customers.
Ability to interpret and apply complex rules, regulations, policies and procedures to specific problems and situations.
Ability to analyze and resolve recurring problems and develop creative solutions.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
Ability to work with Upper Management to establish a proper balance between Working Capital Management, having enough inventory in stock for customers and purchasing enough to optimize pricing and relationships with vendors.
