Job Listing: Interior Installers

Volt Technical Resources is recruiting Interior Installers for contract positions in Wichita, KS. These positions require the preparation and installation of component aircraft parts, including routine bench functions and assuming full responsibility for work so assigned. Also required to assist Assemblers "A", Line - Aircraft in the preparation, fitting, installation and cleanup of component aircraft parts. May involve assignments to any aircraft assembly line to dismantle and/or repair several models of aircraft, all within a given work period. Required Skills

To successfully perform the duties for these positions, Contractors must be able to perform one or more typical operations: Prepare parking brake valve for installation. Prepare nose upholstery. Assemble pilot's headliner. Prepare de-icer valve and plumbing. Assist in air-pressure testing of airframe, locate and repair air leaks. Assist in conducting safety check of airplane prior to air-pressure test. Secure safety-net over airplane. Assist in connecting air-pressure testing machine to airframe. Check airframe for leakage during test. Assist in repairing leakage in airframe during and after test. Check final seal on the airframe. Assist in cabin upholstery installation and clean out cabin after installation. Vacuum-clean interior and clean all windows. Connect throttle to carburetor. Bleed brakes and check for leaks. Lubricate landing gear fittings.
Must have at least SIX months of directly related experience. Must be familiar with power tools including drill motors, nut runners, and pneumatic rivet hammers. Must be familiar with hand tools to include open and box end wrenches, side cutting pliers, screw drivers, ball peen hammers, drift and center punches, sockets and ratchet handles. Must know how to check and use measuring devices including scales, protractors, tension-meter, torque wrenches and electrical ring-out equipment. Must have ability to read and interpret somewhat complicated blueprints, use precision measuring instruments including, Potention-meter, torque wrench, micrometer, level, scale and have knowledge of material processes.
