Our Client in Trumbull, CT has a contract position open for a Product Champion.
Role:
The primary role of the Product Champ (PC) is to raise awareness of the Software Giant's products, services, and promotions among the salespeople and managers, enabling them to drive sales of solutions enabled by the Software Giant. The "Champ" provides first-level resolution to questions and issues raised by the salespeople and managers. In addition, the Product Champion's role within Our Client's Direct sales offices is to maximize revenue by working closely with Sales Representatives to uncover and close business opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities:
Direct Revenue Related Activities
The key responsibility of this position is to increase sales of the Software Giant’s Small Business Stack. Additional responsibilities include:
Assisting the Sales team in promoting, qualifying and closing new Licensing businesses.
Reviewing the Open Quote Report on a weekly basis, and working with Sales Representatives to close deals.
Ensuring that the Software Giant is included on all bid opportunities for Notebooks, Desktops, Servers and Security.
Developing and deploying training vehicles and materials for the Sales organization.
Driving Small Business Server-related products and opportunities through multi-channel sales vehicles.
Indirect Revenue Related Activities
Sales can also be influenced by indirect sales activities. These activities are considered part of the standard requirements for this position.
Monitor all communications from the Software Giant and ensure that pricing is accurate and reflected on Our Client.
Know key contacts within each of Our Client's product divisions to help expedite product questions or solutions.
Establish relationships with all Sales Directors and Managers.
Serve as the main point of contact for Sales Representatives on a daily basis.
Assist in revenue-impacting projects as needed.
Coordinate aspects of sales trainings and events.
Develop and manage all sales focus specific to licensing.
Be present at Sales Manager meetings as needed.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Product Champion position include the following:
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Volume Licensing for Software Sales
Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience
Good written and verbal communications skills
Familiarity with MS Office applications (including PowerPoint)
Technical aptitude
Reseller, Mail Order, or Distribution Channel experience
Sales or marketing experience, specifically with Microsoft solutions
