This person should have knowledge of Purchasing and Supply Chain functions and how they relate to the product manufacturing process. They will have responsibility to facilitate projects for all commodities of direct material including castings, rough and machined, purchased finished, fabrications, non-metallics, etc. This person will interface with external suppliers, as well as internal contacts in all areas - Supply Chain, Processing, Engineering design groups and Supplier Quality. This position will be expected to become an expert in the purchasing process of all categories.


Required Skills

Qualifications: Required: 4-year degree in either Business, Communications or Manufacturing. Experience with purchasing is a must. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a high velocity team environment, especially with respect to Six Sigma methodology is also a must. This person much be adaptable to changing priorities and be flexible to embrace diversity in work patterns and current business practices. The top three skills sets that will be looked at will be, interpersonal communication, customer satisfaction, and initiative.
