Job Listing: Software Integration Engineer
This IT firm in DuPont, Washington (near Tacoma) is seeking a Software Integration Engineer. Software integration/build & Verification engineer Software Engineer with the Enterprise Silicon Software BIOS team Team responsible for source code control infrastructure, source code merger process and execution, and build / validation / release process and execution. The primary responsibilities of this position are: (1) establish and administer a robust and easy to use source code control environment for the validation BIOS C and ASM language source code, (2) define, establish, and administer a release build process including merging new BIOS feature source into a release tree, create and validate a release candidate build, and release the validated candidate to internal (within Intel) customers and support validation teams as they update to new BIOS release. Debug and resolution of integration issues. Preparation and distribution of software releases and related release collateral. Communication of status of weekly builds with the Development manager on a regular basis. Tracking and communication of readiness of issues for integration. Volt is an EOE.
Required Skills
Primary Skill: BIOS Other Skills: C; C++; Debug; Verification 2-3 years minimum Mid level Experience in integrating C/C++ source code from multiple developers from multiple sites. Experience debugging build issues in Microsoft Visual Studio environment. Experience managing multiple priorities, schedules and deliverables. Excellent communication skills (email, conference calls, face to face status meetings), experience working with Taiwan and India are a plus. Experience using Merant/Serena Dimensions configuration management tool or similar tools. Prior BIOS or embedded development experience.
